The Role of Federated Identity and Directory Virtualization in the IAM/CIAM World
Join us Thursday September 27th for a new webinar with Gregg Kreizman, Research Vice President with Gartner, and Wade Ellery from Radiant Logic as they discuss the one essential component all IAM and CIAM projects require — identity. Whether addressing Federation, Access Management, Single Sign-on, Identity Governance and Administration, or securing applications as they are moved to the cloud — every initiative begins with accessing and leveraging identity from multiple repositories.
Radiant pioneered virtual directory technology, which was described by Gartner in its recent Hype Cycle for Identity and Access Management Technologies, 2018 as entering mainstream market adoption. This transcended complex IT environments by providing a real-time directory view (using LDAP or other protocols/APIs) of identity data that was aggregated from multiple back-end repositories (both LDAP and non-LDAP).
But today, Radiant Logic has gone far beyond the capability of proxying back-end systems to create a fully federated source of identity information that is platform agnostic, standards-based and applies in multiple use cases. And as the identity landscape becomes more complex and fragmented, being able to deliver a complete, unified identity service out of heterogeneous stores — Active Directory, LDAP, SQL, and Web Services/API’s — is becoming increasingly imperative.
We deliver this capability through a federated identity and directory service — or “FID.” The service consists of two integral elements: an identity virtualization and integration layer that transforms heterogeneous identity into the precise view required by each application, and handles synchronization; and HDAP, our Big Data-driven directory that stores and delivers the unified identity everywhere it’s needed, from enterprise to web to cloud.
Whether companies are dealing with WAM or cloud SSO, directory consolidation or migration, integrating user bases after M&As, or delivering a 360-degree view of their customers, RadiantOne FID provides a reusable identity service that helps companies quickly respond to new demands and opportunities — in days and weeks, not months and years.
