Nick Nikols is a seasoned technology executive and industry thought leader with more than 30 years of experience in enterprise software, identity security, and cybersecurity. Throughout his career, he has successfully led the development and delivery of industry-leading identity, access management, and cybersecurity solutions while also serving as a trusted industry analyst and advisor.
His expertise spans workforce, customer, and non-human identity, enterprise cybersecurity, cloud security, identity governance and administration, privileged access management, and secure DevOps. As an analyst, Nick has conducted extensive research and advised organizations on strategies to strengthen security, manage risk, and modernize identity infrastructures.
Nick has held senior leadership roles at some of the industry’s most recognized technology companies, including Vice President of NetIQ Products at OpenText; Senior Vice President of Product Management and Chief Technology Officer for Cybersecurity at CA Technologies; Chief Technology Officer and General Manager of Identity and Access Management and Windows Management at Quest Software; and Vice President of Product Management and Chief Technology Officer for Security at Novell. He has also served as Research Director at Gartner, Head of Research at TechVision Research, and Senior Analyst at Burton Group.
A frequent speaker and recognized expert in the cybersecurity and identity management communities, Nick has presented at leading industry events, including the RSA Conference, Gartner Catalyst, Gartner Identity & Access Management Summits, and numerous other conferences worldwide.
