Radiant Logic + SailPoint: From Identity Data Virtualization to Agentic Identity Security

Two decades of identity innovation converge for the agentic era
Every so often, an industry reaches a moment when the through-line between its past and its future becomes remarkably clear. Identity security is at one of those moments now.
That’s why I’m excited to share that Radiant Logic and SailPoint have expanded our technology alliance, anchored by a new SailPoint-Certified Technology Integration between RadiantOne Identity Data Platform and SailPoint Identity Security.
Before getting into what this means for organizations navigating the emergence of AI agents, it’s worth looking back at how our two companies arrived here. Because this partnership feels like more than two technology companies integrating products. It represents two complementary bets made roughly two decades ago that are now converging in exactly the place the identity industry needs them.
Two companies, two bets, two decades ago
In 2000, Michel Prompt founded Radiant Logic and introduced the industry’s first virtual directory—the idea that identity data scattered across HR systems, directories, applications, and other enterprise infrastructure could be unified into a logical, standards-based view without requiring organizations to rip and replace the systems already in place.
That idea—identity data virtualization—became the foundation for what followed.
In 2006, that foundation was captured in U.S. patent publication US 2006/0173873, covering core techniques behind identity data virtualization. The fundamental problem it addressed remains strikingly relevant today: organizations cannot effectively manage, govern, or secure identities when the underlying identity data is fragmented across disparate systems.
At roughly the same time, in December 2005, Mark McClain, Kevin Cunningham, and Jackie Gilbert co-founded SailPoint around another fundamental identity challenge: Who has access to what—and should they?
That question helped establish identity governance as a critical enterprise discipline and led to the launch of SailPoint IdentityIQ in 2007. Years before “agentic AI” entered the enterprise vocabulary, SailPoint was also applying AI and intelligent-agent techniques to identity data and access decision support.
Radiant Logic made an early bet that identity data had to be unified before the systems relying on it could be trusted. SailPoint made an equally important bet that access had to be continuously understood, governed, and controlled.
Twenty years later, the rise of non-human and agentic identities is making both propositions more important at exactly the same time.
Fast forward to today
Enterprises are no longer asking AI agents merely to draft emails or summarize documents. They are increasingly deploying agentic AI workflows that can execute business processes, interact with applications, make decisions, access sensitive information, and take actions across enterprise systems.
That creates an entirely new identity challenge.
Identity and security teams must increasingly answer questions that weren’t even part of the enterprise identity conversation a few years ago:
How do we establish trusted identity context for an AI agent, not just a human?
How do we understand what an agent can access, under whose authority, and through which systems?
How do we gain visibility into the relationships among humans, non-human identities, agents, accounts, entitlements, and enterprise resources?
And how do we extend proven identity governance and security practices to this rapidly growing identity population without adding years of complexity to already difficult identity modernization programs?
Those questions—trusted identity context, observability, governance, security, and time-to-value—are exactly where a unified, correlated identity data layer and a mature identity security platform need to come together.
That’s what makes this expanded alliance particularly timely.
What we’re announcing
Radiant Logic and SailPoint have created a SailPoint-Certified Technology Integration, combining Radiant Logic’s unified identity data foundation with SailPoint Identity Security.
Together, the integration is designed to:
1. Modernize identity infrastructure by unifying identity data sources into an authoritative, normalized source of identity context that SailPoint can continuously leverage across the enterprise.
2. Accelerate time-to-value by simplifying and speeding application onboarding across the enterprise, including reducing onboarding time for custom applications to as little as two days per application.
3. Simplify and accelerate migration from legacy, on-premises identity governance systems to the modern, real-time capabilities of SailPoint Identity Security.
RadiantOne automatically unifies identity data from enterprise resources, applications, and identity directories into an authoritative, adaptive, context-rich source of identity data that SailPoint Identity Security can leverage continuously in real time. Together, Radiant Logic and SailPoint help organizations reduce implementation complexity while strengthening the identity foundation required for governance, security, and increasingly, AI.
“Together with SailPoint, we are able to mitigate the risks associated with identity security implementations,” said John Skinner, VP of Partnerships at Radiant Logic. “An identity governance and security implementation that used to take up to two years can now be completed and delivering value within a couple of months.”
“Integration and implementation are frequently cited as the biggest barriers to security maturity, especially when it comes to identity security,” said Troy Donley, SVP of Strategy and Growth at SailPoint. “By integrating with Radiant Logic, SailPoint is enabling organizations to accelerate their journey to the real-time identity security capabilities that are unique to SailPoint Identity Security.”
And our ecosystem is already building on the opportunity.
“Speed to value is critical as organizations modernize identity security amid an AI-driven threat environment,” said Ajay Gupta, CEO of SDG Corporation. “SailPoint’s Certified Technology Integration with Radiant Logic’s identity layer provides the trusted identity foundation needed to govern human, non-human, and agentic identities at scale. SDG leverages that foundation to accelerate SailPoint implementations through AI-powered advisory, transformation and managed services to simplify ongoing operations and continuously strengthen identity resilience.”
Why the timing matters
For the last two decades, enterprise identity programs have largely been built around people.
That model is changing.
Organizations must now manage and secure three distinct but interconnected identity populations: human identities, non-human identities, and agentic identities.
We think of this as the Three Identity Problem.
Each identity population needs to be visible. Each needs trusted context. Each needs appropriate access. And increasingly, all three need to be observed, governed, and secured together.
This is where the history of Radiant Logic and SailPoint becomes particularly relevant.
Radiant Logic’s technology was built to unify, correlate, normalize, and provide context around identity data across complex enterprise environments. SailPoint’s technology was built to govern identity and access across those environments. Neither company is starting from zero as AI agents reshape the identity landscape. We are extending capabilities developed over two decades to address the next generation of identity security challenges together.
What began as two complementary bets on the future of enterprise identity is now converging around a new reality: the identity foundation that enterprises built for people must evolve to support humans, machines, and AI agents simultaneously.
That’s why I believe this expanded alliance matters—and why the timing is right.
