ID-Connect

A free client application to complement Radiant Logic’s Identity and Context Virtualization platform, ID-Connect is a social networking interface that enables dynamic and powerful global views of system users. ID-Connect is based on Silverlight, and is designed to work with Microsoft SharePoint or as a JSP flex version for any J2EE web server. ID-Connect offers user profile management, white pages, and enterprise-wide search capabilities, and provides a unified view of identity and profile attributes pulled from heterogeneous and distributed data sources both inside and outside the enterprise firewall.

ID-Connect employs several key capabilities of the RadiantOne Identity and Context Virtualization Platform:

• Aggregates multiple identities from heterogeneous data sources for fine-grained authorization.
• Creates a global profile through RadiantOne’s identity correlation abilities.
• Builds dynamic groups on-the-fly based on criteria in user profiles.
• Gathers, organizes, and represents contextual views out of existing sources.

ID-Connect for Sharepoint is comprised of three key sections:

1. User Profile Management enables users to update and manage their information from disparate sources. It’s easy for each user to modify his or her profile information as needed. The VDS automatically sends any profile updates back to the original source, whether it’s a local LDAP source, Active Directory, or even a cloud-based application such as Salesforce.
2. White Pages finds users based on privileges defined in a policy engine. Based on policies defined in Sharepoint, users can easily search across the enterprise to find other users with appropriate and pre-defined levels of access.
3. Context Browser locates the missing links between data to liberate context from across your application silos. This application retrieves information previously confined to outdated specialized data silos, and links structured data scattered across databases and applications, allowing users to publish plain English sentences out of application data.
