COMPLIMENTARY RADIANTONE VDS TRAINING

These trainings are designed to provide an overview of the RadiantOne VDS Proxy and Context Edition, first hands-on experience with the different products and facilitate knowledge exchange between Radiant SEs, Partners, and Customers. The objective of the 2-day training course is to:


  • Get up to speed on common use cases and key operations for both of our new Virtual Directory products
  • Dive deep into discussion and explanation of VDS features
  • Test-drive VDS in assorted real life scenarios

Day 1

    • Authentication Challenges
      • Data mapping and translation

      • User aggregation

      • Round-robin authentication

    • Authorization Challenges
      • Attribute-based: Joins to extend user profiles

      • Group-based: Re-use existing groups/flexibility in defining members

      • Presenting different hierarchies than what exists

  • Proxy vs. Model-driven Virtualization
    • Identify which virtualization strategy to use
  • Key Features of VDS Proxy Edition
    • Directory aggregation                  

    • Data mapping and translation

    • Joins based on common key for profile extension

Day 2

  • Review differences between proxy and model-driven virtualization

  • Key features of VDS Context Edition

    • Handling complex authentication challenges in heterogeneous environments

    • Handling complex authorization challenges in heterogeneous environments

      • Enabling fine-grained authorization

      • Building rich, contextual virtual directory trees

      • Reorganizing existing directory hierarchies (creating new directory trees out of existing trees)

  • Handling complex authorization challenges, continued
    • Building virtual views leveraging existing relationships (presenting database context into a hierarchical form)

    • Complex joins across heterogeneous data sources to create a common profile (when a unique key doesn’t exist)

  • Discuss benefits of persistent cache
