RADIANTONE VIRTUAL IDENTITY MANAGER (VIM)

The Virtual Identity Management (VIM) application is a Java/JSP-based LDAP client. You can use this application to connect to and manage the content for any LDAP directory (including VDS). VIM is web-based highly configurable tool to meet your identity data management needs.

View User Profiles by Data Source

Most enterprise users have accounts in more than one repository. It is critical to help desk operations as well as IdM services (i.e. compliance, data cleansing, auditing, etc) to be able to view a user profile in one place, accurately and comprehensively. Even inactive accounts (or accounts that have been locked out) are displayed appropriately.

Below is an example of one user in three different repositories, SunONE Directory, Active Directory, and a Peoplesoft Database, all viewable from the VIM application..

Reset Passwords and Password Synchronization

VIM can be used for password reset and/or synchronization by IT/Help Desk or individual users. Individual passwords can be reset for a user for each account. ICS can be used to synchronize all passwords in selected repositories when a password update is initiated through VIM.

Customize Operations and Interface

The VIM is fully customizable to meet the needs of your users, Help Desk, IT Administrators, etc. The interface can be customized with your company’s logo and colors, elements of the interface can be altered, added or removed as needed. You can add functions such as ADD ACCOUNT, DISABLE ACCOUNT, ADD WORKSTATION, or any other operation that can be defined in an LDAP operation.
