RadiantOne VDS comes equipped with all the tools and features necessary for easy administration and monitoring VDS and connected resources.
- The RadiantOne VDS Admin Console simplifies the design and management of DITs (Directory Information Trees). Using the VDS Administration Console has never been easier with built-in wizards and templates to generate proxy views of your underlying sources.
- In addition, RadiantOne VDS ships with a Remote Admin Console. The Remote Admin Console enables central administration of multiple servers through a single web interface. Remote users can now have access to all the same functions and features as the server-based VDS Admin Console to manage one or multiple server environments.
- Monitoring the VDS environment with graphical status screens, email service alerts, and multiple load-balancing and failover options means more up-time, quicker response to potential failures, and higher service levels than ever before.
- VDS offers full logging capabilities for all VDS operations. With the added Log2DB functionality, logs are automatically written to any database for quick, complete, and accurate reporting, auditing, and monitoring of all VDS activity.
The Administration Console enables the configuration of all server parameters related to VDS, including, but not limited to, VDS logging, caching options, naming contexts, interception scripts and security parameters such as SSL, mutual authentication, Kerberos, and access control instructions (ACI).
Proxy views of data sources can be easily created using built-in wizards inside the VDS Administration Console. The naming contexts can be based on trees from remote LDAP servers, trees created from relational databases, trees in the local LDAP storage, virtual trees, or any combination of the above.
Interception scripts can be introduce to achieve complex mappings (concatenations or string manipulations), override the incoming query (pre-processing), or process/change a result (post-processing), interception scripts. Such scripts can be configured at a global level, at a specific proxy branch, or on a specific virtual view.
For more complex logic, performance reasons, or correlation of objects and attributes in absence of a unique identifier see RadiantOne ICS.
The web-based Remote Admin Console features a Web 2.0 interface based on Adobe Flex. It enables remote users to administer one or multiple instances of VDS through their desktop web browser. The Remote Admin Console provides all the same options and functionality as the server-based Admin Console.

The VDS Admin Console has a built-in monitoring tool, enabling users to graphically track the number of connections and memory usage of VDS, as well as the status of connected backend sources. VDS also alerts administrators via email for any change in status of VDS or connected backend sources.

Combined with the Remote Admin Console and built-in fail-over, this feature enables administrators to respond faster to any potential issues, thereby maintaining higher levels of service than ever before.
RadiantOne VDS has detailed logging capabilities to log any and all requests to VDS. These extensive logs can be written directly to any standard database, enabling rich reports and graphics for access, compliance, and auditing purposes.
