IDENTITY CORRELATION AND AGGREGATION

Organization have and continue to struggle with sharing identity data spread across data silos and as organizations grow, the complexity of the problem grows also. Because disparate data silos often contain data of the same identities and do not have a common key, it is almost impossible to re-use identity information. RadiantOne ICS radically simplifies the complexity of identity integration, leveraging the same virtualization technology found in VDS. By bringing together identity data across heterogeneous data sources into a virtualized environment, identity data can be shared without disrupting the data repositories or existing integration.

Create a Global Identity across different data sources.

ICS aggregates identity data so profiles can be compared and indexed; creating unique identifiers. This correlation allows for the creation of global profiles and for identity information to be shared seamlessly across the enterprise.

  • Connect and aggregate identity data from a multitude of heterogeneous sources
  • Perform identity correlation and find orphaned accounts/rogue identities
  • Combine unified identities with synchronization for metadirectory-like functionality
  • Solve complex identity management issues by using a common identity source that offers full integration, not just interoperability
  • Integrate with off the shelf workflow and application server software to provide a complete service provisioning layer.

Deliver views based on enterprise-wide identity attributes for all your applications

Establishing a global identity allows VDS to expose user accounts with attributes from disparate data sources transparently to client applications. The new views are created using the RadiantOne View Designer. Compose views quickly and easily, allowing you to react to business needs instead of being constrained by the limitations of your existing data silos.

ICS Identity Correlation and Aggregation Tools and Components

The Virtual Identity Hub (VIH) is a database table that stores an exhaustive list of identities and selected attributes from multiple data stores. VIH establishes a common index and reference list for all identities.

The easy to follow 7-step process of the VIH-Topology wizard makes establishing a global identity quick and easy. The wizard aids in creating scripts used to define matching rules, establishing that a user is the same across multiple data sources and to define attribute flow control of changes as they are detected by local connectors. (see illustration below)

Connectors are used to detect changes at the data sources to keep identity information updated according to business logic defined with the ICS tools. (see illustration below)

Enterprise Service Bus / Java Messaging Service (ESB/JMS) is utilized to transport XML based messages between data sources of selected identity attributes and objects. (see illustration below)

The Global Identity View (GIV) stores customized identity profiles from multiple data sources to create global unique profiles for all users.

The Virtual Identity Manager (VIM) is a web console that can be used to view, edit and update profiles, including reset of passwords.
